I was sitting outside, drinking lemon ice water, just listening to the sounds of my backyard when I realized something.
This spring meant the last time I would see the lilac bushes in my yard bloom.
It’s not that they wouldn’t ever again, but my next chapter in life was going to occupy that part of spring each year.
How fast senior year has gone by.
I have less than two weeks of classes. Less than two weeks until prom.
I picked out my college dorm. I went to a concert with my roommate.
I’m planning my grad party.
This is crazy.
So, as summer 2017 gets closer and closer, I want to share with you some lovely things that helped me enjoy my last spring of high school.
(I can’t wait to read this later and remember what it was like)
And, there’re no mini hauls for April or May because truthfully I didn’t buy anything that essential. Decided to put that money into concerts. After all, experiences are better than things.
This summer I’m trying to expand my taste in clothes. My closest is basically the Basics section at a store. I’ve never been very brave when it comes to clothes, so I’m trying to mix that up.
There’s no doubt that I’ll heavily rely on my standard fashion taste in the near future (as shown by the picture below), but I’m trying to buy different things that I really like, so that I will feel comfortable and confident even when I have something new on.
I am so happy that off the shoulder is trending, because it’s just my favorite style.
Oh, and this top is $10.

The best part about spring is that there is sunshine again, and that leads to my favorite thing: flowers.
Oh how I could look at flowers for hours on end. I wish I could have them year round, but at the same time that’s what makes them special.
I have discovered so much wonderful new music recently. I don’t have nearly enough time to share it all.
So, I picked out some of my faves and made this playlist for you. I like it so much it’s now my summer playlist.
Throw it on while you’re getting ready with your or laying out by the pool. Good vibes all around.

One health tip that can be applied year round: take Vitamin D. I take it in the winter because I, like many people, are subject to extreme deficiency then. But it’s still good to take it in the summer.
It’s like liquid sunshine. You get the mood effects of the sun, but without the harmful rays. Wear sunscreen, and take Vitamin D. Super healthy dose of sun.
You can get it at your local grocery store, health foods store, or pharmacy. It comes in pill form, too.
Sending you nothing but good vibes!
So close to graduating!
